1) The volunteer meeting will be 7pm on 3/24 in the Long Branch library. This is a
mandatory meeting to disburse ASA information, club info and select practice fields.
2) We have to submit teams on 3/18 and there are still several that do not have the
minimum number of players OR coaches to schedule.
3) Please submit to us special scheduling requests (GS camp, morning/afternoon games,
coaching 2+ teams, etc.) by TUE 3/15 so we can correlate and submit to ASA. ASA has made
it clear that absence of a coach is not a valid re-schedule reason.
SOME REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. Last season, ASA received 400+ special requests for
300+ teams.
4) A coach can ask to stop taking more players on his/her team when it becomes too large
to manage the players and give them a rich experience. Several teams have already requested
this.
5) The practice field permit has been released. See http://www.revsclub.com/faqs/practice-fields
for the fields provided. This year we have TJ Lower on Mon and Fri - probably the best field
in Arlington. You may start practices any time AFTER THE 'FIELD OPEN' date on the permit on a
first-come-first-serve basis. Please bring the permit to all practices and call the County
Rover if the field is closed or occupied. DO NOT TRY TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE YOURSELF. We will
do an official practice slot select process at the 3/24 meeting.
